Albert Sim is an Executive Vice President for DHR International and is based in Singapore. Albert has more than 20 years of professional experience working in Senior Level HR roles with well-known global corporations.  He is well versed with the markets in Asia Pacific and has been  involved in numerous organizational change management initiatives to prepare, consult, and assist management teams to grow their businesses profitably in the emerging markets in the Asia Pacific region.

Albert was previously the Senior Vice President (Group Human Resources) of the Nippon Paint Group in Asia where he spent more than a decade assisting the Chairman of the Group directly to grow the business and accomplish the status of a leading supplier in the paint and coating market in China and South East Asia.  He was also instrumental in identifying and assembling the management team to successfully gain entry into the markets of South Asia.

Besides his broad experience and deep knowledge of the industrial and consumer businesses, Albert is well versed in the technology business from his leadership roles at Siemens AG and Seagate Technology as well as the energy business given his work with the ABB Group.

Albert is a Singaporean of ethnic Chinese origin.  He has a Master’s in Education from the University of Sheffield, an MBA from University of Hull, and a Diploma in Translation (Chinese/English) from Nanjing University.
