May Tung is the Managing Director, Head of the Financial Services Practice at DHR International in Asia. She is based out of the firm’s regional headquarters in Hong Kong. She leads the Financial Services practice focusing on Board, C-level and senior management roles in the banking, asset management, insurance, private equity firms and the public sectors. Prior to joining DHR International, Ms. Tung was with Russell Reynolds Associates, having successfully placed many C-level and senior management executives and corporate officers in the Asian financial services sector. She has over eight years of executive search experience.
Prior to her executive search career, Ms. Tung was a banker for more than 22 years, having worked in both New York and Hong Kong at The First national Bank of Chicago (now JP Morgan), Bank of America, Credit Suisse First Boston and Rabobank. She held different leadership front-line managerial positions in New York and pan Asian product roles with P&L responsibilities in Hong Kong. Her last banking position was Managing Director, responsible for various banking products including Structured Finance and M&A services in North Asia.
Ms. Tung is a member of the Development Committee for the Richard Ivey School of Business, Hong Kong campus. She is a Board member of Pactera, a NASDAQ listed company.
She received her Bachelor of Arts from Long Island University (New York), her Masters of International Affairs degree from Columbia University (New York) and her Masters of Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario, Richard Ivey School of Business (Canada). She is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
