Louis M. Hipp, III, serves as Executive Vice President in DHR’s New York office. Mr. Hipp has over 25 years of executive search experience with an emphasis on Presidents, Chief Financial Officers, Chief Actuaries, Chief Marketing Officers and other key leadership roles within insurance companies, intermediaries, and reinsurers.
Prior to joining DHR, Mr. Hipp was a Senior Client Partner in the Stamford and New York offices of Korn/Ferry International, and a member of the firm’s Global Financial Markets Practice, with specific focus on the Insurance Sector.
Mr. Hipp also spent ten years with General Reinsurance Corporation. Most recently he served as Vice President, Director of Global Learning & Development, leading the development and implementation of key global programs such as Gen Re’s leadership development program, corporate management training program, performance management system, executive coaching capability and succession planning program. Prior to this, Mr. Hipp was Vice President, Human Resources and Corporate Planning at Cologne Life Reinsurance Company, which was acquired by General Reinsurance.
Mr. Hipp was also President and CEO of Hipp Waters, Inc., where over the course of 25 years he built the company into one of the largest human resources services firms in New England. Under his leadership Hipp Waters was noted for its advanced thinking and application of technology. Mr. Hipp began his career as a recruiter atThomas F. Ryan, Inc. in New York.
Mr. Hipp has served as Vice Chairman of The Business Council of Southern Connecticut, President of the National Association of Personnel Consultants and as a Board Member of his church.
