Ted Plattenburg serves as Executive Vice President in the firm’s Cincinnati office.  He is a member of DHR’s Healthcare and Nonprofit Practice Groups. 
 
Prior to joining DHR International, Mr. Plattenburg served as a Principal with The Angus Group where he managed the Nonprofit search practice and developed a unique process in working with nonprofit boards to help identify key leadership drivers of an organization that allow for its sustained growth.   
 
During this time, Mr. Plattenburg also completed numerous assignments in a variety of industries including Healthcare administration and association management, Consumer Packaged Goods, Manufacturing and Distribution and small privately held companies serving a variety of industries.  In addition, Mr. Plattenburg spent three years as a generalist with a national boutique firm. 
 
Mr. Plattenburg’s experience includes working with hospitals and healthcare institutions to find senior level human capital solutions. He has also worked with several healthcare associations to find their senior leadership. In the Nonprofit sector, Mr. Plattenburg has worked with high profile boards for institutions such as the Boy Scouts, Boys and Girls Clubs, Alzheimer’s Association and the Freestore/Foodbank. In the Public Sector, Mr. Plattenburg has worked under the strict requirements of open records laws completing several searches for City Managers, Township Administrators and Executive Directors of federally funded multi-jurisdictional organizations. Additionally, Mr. Plattenburg has worked on key positions spawned from a one of kind Collaborative Agreement requiring outstanding credentials in diversity search work.
 
Mr. Plattenburg is a member of Cincinnatus and advises many community boards on board member recruitment, compensation, recruiting and the retaining of key personnel.  He has traveled extensively, has lived abroad and retains fluency in the Swedish language. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Wittenberg University where he served as captain for 3 years and player/coach for the Men’s Varsity Tennis Team
