Dennis Hood joined DHR International in 1997 as Executive Vice President. As his business grew he was named Managing Director of the firm’s Milwaukee office and was also appointed a Senior Client Partner of the firm.  Dennis serves on DHR’s Board of Directors and has been a significant contributor to the growth and success of the firm. 

Prior to joining DHR, Dennis was Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Administration at Morgan Products Ltd, a NYSE company that merged with Andersen Windows. Dennis also spent many years with The Trane Company, a $10 billion global manufacturer and marketer of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning equipment.

Starting as Manager of College Relations, he progressed through various human resource positions becoming Chief Spokesman for the company's labor negotiations and then Vice President of Human Resources. In these roles, Dennis was a change management leader in manufacturing, distribution, and service environments and gained extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, board of director interactions, and in the design of leading edge executive compensation initiatives.

Dennis has served a broad base of public and privately held clients with a particular focus on companies in the industrial, consumer, logistics and supply chain sectors and related areas. As DHR has grown globally so has Dennis’s international business and he has been successful in partnering with DHR offices in Asia, Latin America and Europe on client needs in these regions.  In each of his fourteen years with the firm, Dennis has been one of DHR’s top producers, successfully completing assignments for C-level and board positions and for functional heads of sales and marketing, finance, information technology, operations, human resources, and supply chain.

Dennis received his MBA from the University of Iowa, and his BS degree from Iowa State University. He also has an ongoing and long-term affiliation with the Research Advisory Group at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School. He has served as the Chairman of the Executive Committee of this group of top human resource executives representing a wide spectrum of leading national manufacturing and service companies.

An avid runner and determined golfer, Dennis works out of both DHR’s Chicago and Milwaukee offices.
